Qigong with Pastor Claire Pastor Claire is teaching a Qigong class at Lake Arbor every Wednesday at 7:00 pm. through the end of September. Qigong is similar to Tai Chi and is gentle flowing movement that promotes flexibility, balance and healing in body, mind and spirit. Qigong is a part of her daily morning meditation and she has taught it in a variety of settings for many years. No experience is needed to attend the class. It is easily adaptable to all ability levels. The movements are done standing, but they can be done from a seated position as well if you'd like to bring a lawn chair. The class will gather in the grassy area behind the picnic table next to the parking lot on the east end of Lake Arbor. Pomona Drive dead ends right in front of it. The class will be 30-40 minutes long. In case of rain, we will meet in the covered picnic shelter on the west end of Lake Arbor. A free will offering will be available. Feel free to contact Pastor Claire if you have any questions: 651-402-9949.
Sunday afternoon yoga St. Andrew is excited to host Sunday afternoon yoga with Ruth. Join us every Sunday at 2 p.m. for gentle stretching and core strengthening in a yoga practice that she calls "Sneaky Yoga." She explains that she likes to lead the practice in a way that is easy and the benefits of yoga will sneak up on you! All ability levels are welcome. There is no charge but we accept donations for Ruth.
End of Summer Celebration We will celebrate after worship with a picnic potluck on August 27, 2017. Please join us for good food and fellowship!
Meditation Station Sometimes it is helpful to just have a moment of reflection. What better time than during worship. Each Sunday there is an opportunity to have a quiet moment of reflection, prayer or meditation during the distribution of Holy Communion. The Meditation Station is on the left side of the sanctuary. You can light a candle, leave a prayer, or just have a quiet moment.
St. Andrew Adult Forum Watch for opportunities throughout the year to Join Pastor Claire and lay leaders in a relaxed setting to learn together about a variety of spiritual topics. Adult Forum time is scheduled periodically, usually topic-specific, and takes place after the worship service at 10:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall.
Prayer Shawl Ministry All are welcome to enjoy fellowship time with crochet hooks and knitting needles. These shawls are given away to those in need of healing and prayer. Prayer Shawl gatherings are often twice a month on Sunday afternoons.
